I was dreading fishing cables through drywall, but this enclosure’s dual-purpose design made the whole job feel almost tidy. The 17-inch depth gave me plenty of room to tuck in a switch and a few patch panels without cramping. Even the 5-inch mounting plate felt sturdy enough to hold everything snug
The 5-inch mounting plate lined up perfectly with the studs, so the whole install took under an hour. Plenty of room inside for my cables and a power strip, and the door closes flush without bulging.
Finally got around to swapping out my messy cable nest, and the 17-inch size fits perfectly between the studs with room to spare. The 5-inch mounting plate made securing the whole unit feel effortless, and now everything's tucked away cleanly instead of hanging out in the open.
