The built-in night light is dim enough that it doesn't wake anyone but bright enough to find the hallway at 2am. Tamper-resistant shutters were a must with a toddler in the house, and these feel solid when you plug something in.
Swapped out the plain outlet by our stairs for this one and the built-in night light is just enough glow to see the steps without blinding anyone. The tamper-resistant shutters also give me peace of mind now that my toddler's crawling around. Took about ten minutes to wire up.
Installed this in our hallway and the integrated night light solves the constant tripping-over-toys problem without needing a separate plug-in lamp. The tamper-resistant shutters feel solid too, which matters with a toddler around.
