It's a nice touch that the preset slider lets me dial in exactly where the dimming starts, so the hallway lights come on at a soft glow instead of full blast every time. The red finish is more of a deep maroon in person, which actually looks sharp against the white plate.
Wired this into a 3-way setup in about 20 minutes and the slide preset actually holds the level I want every time I flip the toggle. The red housing is a nice pop against my white plate, and it feels solid when you push the switch. Exactly what I needed for the hallway.
The red finish matches my vintage switch plates perfectly, and the slide dimmer feels solid when you push it up and down. Wiring it for 3-way took me about twenty minutes thanks to the labeled terminals.
