The little hinged cover on the front stays flush with the wall, so it looks completely clean when nothing's plugged in. I ran both Romex and a coax through it during a remodel and the pass-through space was just right for keeping everything tucked behind the TV.
The retrofit install was way easier than I expected, even with the blank plate covering everything neatly. The power and cable routing keeps the wall looking clean, and it's sturdy once it's in place.
Finally got the TV wall mounted without a single cord showing, and this kit made the retrofit part way easier than I expected. The included power connection lets me plug everything in behind the wall while keeping it code-friendly, and the cable routing took me maybe twenty minutes.
