Wasn't sure a self-terminating connector would actually work without a cap, but it screws onto the coax and the signal's fine with nothing plugged in. The nickel finish looks sharp against the black plate too.
Went in flush with the keystone plate and that black finish hides the wiring completely—no more ugly coax stub sticking out of the wall. The self-terminating bit saved me from crimping, which I always mess up anyway.
Installed these in a wall plate behind the TV and the recessed design makes the coax sit almost flush, which looks way cleaner than the bulky ends I had before. The self-terminating feature saves me from hunting down a terminator cap, and the black finish blends right in with the keystone.
