The slider has just the right amount of resistance—firm enough to stay put, but not stiff. I've been using it with LED bulbs and the dimming range is impressively precise at low levels.

The slide glides so smoothly that dimming feels almost effortless, and the black finish looks sharp against my white wall plate. I've used it with both LED and incandescent bulbs in the same room and the control stays precise either way.

Swapped out my old rotary knob for this slide dimmer and the difference is night and day. The slider moves with just the right amount of resistance, and I love how it quietly handles both my LED recessed lights and the incandescent lamp on the same circuit without any flicker.
