The passive design means zero power draw and no signal noise, which is exactly what I needed for splitting a single feed to three TVs. Hooked it up in about twenty minutes and the picture stayed crisp across all outputs.
Took me a while to wire it into the wall box, but once it was in, the passive split-combine works flawlessly for my two TV feeds. The lack of a power supply is a huge plus for a clean install, and the signal quality hasn't dropped a bit on either output.
Finally got around to testing it with an old security camera setup and the passive design meant zero added noise to the signal. The 1x8 distribution is exactly what I needed to feed eight monitors without any hum or ghosting, and it's been rock solid for two weeks straight.
